NDIS AND Nutrition

Under the NDIS, participants are entitled to a broad array of disability-related health support services. An NDIS dietitian aids these participants by enhancing their nutritional understanding and fostering their food knowledge and skills.

Ensuring adequate nutrition for individuals with disabilities can be challenging due to the distinct and intricate food and nutritional requirements associated with physical, intellectual, sensory, neurological, or psychiatric impairments.

Beyond Dietetics offers a mobile dietitian service without travel fees within the Metropolitan Adelaide area. We're dedicated to providing guidance, support, and innovative solutions to help you attain optimal health and achieve your NDIS goals. Our Accredited Practising Dietitians are well-versed in working closely with NDIS participants, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.

• Dietary guidance for participants with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Aged 7 and above).
• Dietary assistance for participants with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder.
• Support for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities to address nutritional challenges such as weight management and disordered eating. This includes guidance on simple, healthy batch cooking and training in healthy food shopping skills.
• Nutritional guidance for various medical conditions, including Parkinson’s Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Cord Injuries (e.g., paraplegia and quadriplegia), Acquired Brain Injury, Stroke, Prader-Willi Syndrome, and Multiple Sclerosis.
• Enteral feeding assistance.
• Recommendations for oral nutritional supplements to address disability-related malnutrition.
• Texture-modified meal plans and resources for those with dysphagia.
• Training for carers and support workers to optimize participants' nutrition.
• Creation of a variety of individualized dietary resources, such as meal planners with food tags, visual and audible recipe books, and food shopping guides.

Beyond Dietetics provide services to NDIS participants who are self-managed and plan-managed funding. 

Initial Assessement Options:

• Full Initial Dietetic Assessment with NDIS Dietetic Report - Total cost of $ 969.95

• Full Initial Dietetic Assessment without NDIS Dietetic Report - Starting from $193.99 per hour* ( No travel charge within the Adelaide Metropolitan Area)

Ongoing Dietetic Services:

1. Complete the Online Client Register Form provided below or reach out to admin@beyonddietetics.com.au to select an initial package.
2. After receiving the referral, we'll coordinate with the participant or their caregiver to arrange an initial assessment.
3. Based on the results of the assessment, we will create a tailored service plan.
4. As soon as the ongoing service plan is approved by the participant, caregiver, or plan nominee, the continuous service will commence.
